NHS OpenAthens

NHS OpenAthens, also called NHS Athens or just Athens, is a single username and password that gives you access to a wide variety of resources. All East Cheshire NHS Trust staff and students on placement here are eligible for an account, which is free to create and use. Your Athens account can also follow you if you move to a new organisation. Register for an account at the link below, or log in to view or update your details.
FAQ
Moving organisation?
You can move your Athens account from one Trust to another as you move jobs. Log in to Athens and select ‘change organisation’ in the left-hand menu. Select the new organisation and update your contact details, then click the ‘Change’ button. Your details will be sent to the Athens Administrator at the new Trust who will need to approve your eligibility.
Forgotten your password?
You can reset your password yourself: click the button below and enter the email address associated with your Athens account (usually your NHS email address). A link will be emailed to you – check your junk folder if it doesn’t appear in your inboxx. Click the link and set a new password.
