Evidence Search Service

We provide evidence and literature search services, free of charge,  to save you time and ensure that you have the information you need.

This service is available to all East Cheshire NHS Trust staff to support best practice in the workplace, management decisions and the improvement of patient outcomes.

Let us use our knowledge and expertise to find evidence, from a variety of sources*,  to help you deliver evidence based patient care, answer clinical questions, support research, guideline development, service development, and management decisions.

*We can search a wide range of resources including  healthcare databases such as The Cochrane Library, Medline, CINAHL, NICE Evidence, TRIP, management literature, the internet and other online resources where available.

We prioritise requests and aim to complete them within your deadline.

Please note: we do not undertake searches for those undertaking academic courses or students writing assignments where the purpose of the assignment is to complete a search. We can provide support and training around how to search for literature – find out more by visiting our training page.
