Inter-Library Loans
Any books or journal articles not available from the Library resources (print and online) are usually available on inter-library loan. Inter-library loans are free, unless they are sourced from the British Library, in which case there is an £11 charge. We will always obtain copies from the cheapest source possible.
To request an inter-library loan for journal articles, books, or book chapters, please complete the form below or contact the library on ecn-tr.stafflibrary@nhs.net. You need a library membership in order to request an inter-library loan. When you complete the form, an account will be created for you, or the request will be connected to your existing account if you already have one. You will also get the option to log in if you know your login details.
Journal Articles
If you find an article that we don’t have access to, you can request this on inter-library loan by contacting us on 01625 66 1362 or ecn-tr.StaffLibrary@nhs.net, or by filling out the form above.
LibKey Nomad
If you have the LibKey Nomad browser extension installed (this is automatically installed on Trust PCs), you can request the full text of an article by clicking the ‘Access Options’ button that pops up. This will open a pre-populated form allowing you to request the article.
NHS Knowledge Hub
When searching the Knowledge Hub, you can request items by clicking the ‘Request this item’ link below the search result. This will take you to a form to complete, which will be sent through to us. We’ll send you a copy of the article once we’ve received it.
Books
Our library catalogue includes items available at all libraries in the NoW regional network. To borrow a book from one of the other libraries in the network, you just need to reserve the book on the catalogue as you would one of our books. The lending library will then post the book to us and you’ll be notified once it’s available to pick up. Some items may be too large or heavy to send in the post.

Book Chapters
If we can’t get a full text through inter-library loan, or you only need a specific section, then we may be able to get one chapter of the book. We would need to know what book it is, the chapter needed, and the page numbers. You can email the details to us or fill out the online form above.
