Accessibility in the library
The library is located in the LE&D Hub on the 1st Floor, New Alderley House, which can be accessed by stairs or lift. There are doors between the main entrance and the library that are not power-assisted. If you need any assistance getting to the library from the main entrance, please contact the library team either in advance or on the day if your visit is during staffed hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm).
The library offers a quiet and calm place to study, however on busier days it may be noisier. There are soundproof Pods available for individual use, subject to availability.

Induction loop
There is an induction loop device available on request for use in the LE&D Hub. An induction loop contains a microphone that sends audio directly to hearing aids nearby when set to a certain setting. This device can be set up in any of the rooms. Please let us know if you would like to use the device, either in advance or ask at our reception desk on the day.

- An ergonomic mouse and keyboard
- A large letter keyboard
- A black and yellow keyboard
- A track ball mouse
